Post Medieval trade token, but the details cannot be identified. Trade tokens were issued between 1648 and 1672 at a time when there was little low denomination coinage being issued by the crown. As a result traders and business proprietors began issuing tokens as an alternate coinage with equivalent denominations of a farthing, half penny or penny. Such trade tokens rarely travel far from their place of issue and provide an insight to the trade of the time. Roman coin: silver denarius of Mark Anthony, dating to c.32-31BC. It is Legionary coinage made by a travelling mint. The obverse shows a Galley with banners. It is inscribed ANT AVG [ ]. The reverse depicts two Legionary Standards, with a Legionary eagle between them. These coins were struck by Mark Antony for the use of his fleet and legions when he was preparing for the struggle with Octavius, which culminated in the Battle of Actium on the 2nd of September, 31 BC (Grueber, 1970, 526).

Post Medieval (16th to 17th century) button: The copper alloy buttons' head is biconvex, and decorated with a pellet at the apex and has radiating grooves over its surface. On the reverse there is a elongated leg which is perforated. The surface of the button has a dark green shiny patina with small patches of red copper corrosion. The diameter across the head is 11.61mm and the length is 16.67mm. It weighs 3.63g. Margeson (1993) illustrates an almost identical button and probably dates to the late 15th to 17th century. Medieval purse bar; the purse bar has a central rectangular boss, protruding from either side of the boss is an integral, circular sectioned arm which terminates with a bulbous knop. Directly above the boss is a slightly larger bulbous knop. The arm terminates with a bulbous knop which protrudes at the base of the boss. The knops are undecorated. Medieval (late 13th to 14th centuries) harness pendant. The copper-alloy pendant is flat and circular shaped, with a perforated lug protruding from the outer diameter. The lug has been cast perpendicular to the outer face of the pendant. The decoration on the outer face comprises an unidentified shape which is raised from the main pendant surface.
