A complete copper-alloy medieval shield-shaped strap-end with a bar mount at the attachment end. The strap-end is formed of a rounded shield-shaped sheet plate, 0.9mm thick, 13.3mm at the barred terminal end and 12.4mm wide at the rounded end. The terminal end is square and runs parallel for 6.8mm where it becomes waisted to a width of 8.3mm. It opens out to a width of 12.5mm where it rounds out. It is smooth and undecorated and has 2 attachment rivets. Overall length is 16.2 mm. The bar mount itself is rectangular with an arched cross section. The bar is 12.8mm long by 4.9mm wide,…
