A Roman cast copper alloy brooch of the Colchester derivative, Polden Hill variant type, cf. A Visual Catalogue of Richard Hattatt's Ancient Brooches, 1989, figure 1513. It dates from AD c. 75 - c. 175. The wing cross-sections are semi-circular with a concave back. The wings have end caps. The central section tapers to the tip were it expands to a globular end. Both the wing sections and the head are decorated with incised, vertical lines with moulding at the end of the wings as well as where the wings meet the head.

Rings like this are very common finds and may have had a variety of uses. They may have been part of horse-harness, or used for suspension of vessels, or as curtain-rings, and so on.

An incomplete cast copper alloy post-medieval double loop oval buckle with moulded knops either end of the strap bar dating from AD c. 1500 - c. 1650. The pin is missing. The central bar had a circular cross-section. The frame appears to be undecorated. Similar buckles are illustrated in Whitehead (1996: p.54).

A post-medieval copper alloy domed button with a concave reverse dating from AD 1600 to AD 1800. The button is decorated with an incised six-petalled floral design, with shorter sepals shown between the petals, surounded by crescent-shaped marks along the edge. There is a rectangular shank on the reverse with a drilled hole that is now broken. The button is very similar in design to SOMDOR-075D07.

A Romano-British greyware pottery shard from an uncertain vessel dating from approximately AD 43 to AD 410. It is a hard fabric, light grey in colour with an shallow incised, horizontal line above stamped line decoration in a triangular pattern. the core of the fabric is grey with orange layers on either side. The interior surface of the sherd shows some signs of dark sediments, perhaps burnt remnants of its contents. The vessel is wheel-thrown with some small inclusions. The sherd is 6.7 mm thick and weighs 12.28 g.

A complete post medieval three halfpence public house token for the Pack Horse Inn dating to the mid-Nineteeth Century AD. It was minted by T Pope Makers at Newhall in Birmingham. According to the 2004 work by Yolanda C. S. Courtney, Public House Tokens of England and Wales c. 1830 - c. 1920, Pope maintained a shop at 14 Newhall Street from 1856 until 1879, so the coin must dating from the period.

A complete post medieval copper alloy trader's token of the Newark draper James Knight dating to the late Nineteenth Century AD. The obverse shows a laurel wreath encircling the inscription. James Knight was born in 1849 and the token was most likely minted before December 1891 when a fire broke out in front of the shop. The shop was among those pulled down in 1892.
