A possible Early Medieval (Viking) to Modern gold ingot/hack gold, dated to the mid 9th to mid 20th Centuries, AD 850-2000. The ingot is roughly sub-rectangular in shape with one end rounded and the other broken and flat.

A fragment of a Roman colour coated ware vessel that has had a circular hole drilled through the centre of the base, possible for use as a spindle whorl, dating to AD 150-410. The fragment consists of the base of a beaker or jar that has been broken off around the foot ring. The foot ring has been kept intact aside from some minor damage and a hole has been drilled through the centre of the base.

A Roman to medieval die, made of ivory or bone. The die is cuboid and each value is marked by a ring-and-dot design, which range from 1 to 6. Opposite sides add up to 7. It was black when found but has now turned a dark brown. This die is Potter variant 1 (Finds Research Group 700-1700, Datasheet 23, Dice by Geoff Egan)
It measures 8.80mm (length) x 8.50mm (height) x 8.60mm (thickness) and weighs 1.49g.
Similar dice are illustrated in Crummy (1983, 96-97) which date to the Roman period and Egan et al (1998, 290-291 ref 953 and 954) which are dated to c. 1350 to 1450 AD. Therefor…

A ceramic base sherd from a Roman Samian ware vessel dating to the period c. AD 120 - 260. The sherd consists of a circular foot ring with the remains of the floor of the vessel projecting to the start of a shallow angle from the top of the foot ring and terminating in old breaks around the entire circumference. The fabric is a buff orange colour but is a bit patchy on the underside which is not fully oxidised. It is hard and exhibits frequent micaceous inclusions. The vessel has been coated in a dark orange slip which has been heavily abraded in places.

A ceramic Roman Lowther's Group 4 and Betts Die 11, relief-patterned flue-tile dating from AD 150-200. A similar tile is illustrated in Betts et al (1997:60 Fig. 27h, 11). The front is decorated with relief-patterned rolled design in the "Compass" group style. Betts et al (1997:79) write that examples of this tile "from Calverts Buildings, Southwark is associated with a masonry building constructed in 150-200 and probably demolished by the 3 or 4 cent."

A probably Roman copper alloy globular-headed pin dating from AD43-410. The pin has four ring and dot, spaced equidistant around the globular head, the top of which is flat and undecorated. The shaft of the pin is oval in section and is bent and broken missing its tip.
A similar pin with ring and dot decoration on the database YORYM-E3AB48 is dated to the Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) but these have a single banded circumferential collar which this example lacks. The find spot would also point to a Roman date as being most likely.

A Roman copper alloy key (locking) finger ring dating AD 43-410. This is a finger ring with integral key, it is a Guiraud type 5a. The remaining hoop of the finger ring is plain with D-shaped section. The key bit is rectangular in plan and projects from the shank at ninety degrees to it. The shank is hollow-ended. The simple bit has an S-shape pattern formed from two opposing clefts, one set slightly lower down the bit than the other.

A Roman copper alloy pair of tweezers dating from 1st - 5th century. The object is formed by bending a sheet of copper alloy creating a sprung loop and at the ends curving the lower edges inwards. The grip is straight and tapers slightly to a wider tip. The tweezers are decorated with a incised liner border. Crummy illustrate similar tweezers (1983: 59, fig.63, no.1877, 1881)
