It is a Type 5 Equestrian figure (Forsyth and Egan 2005), being flat with mouldings on both sides. The rider can be seen with a wide-brimmed hat and long coat with wide cuffs, and long cuffed boots. A Medieval copper-alloy strap-end dating from AD 1350 to 1450.  This is a composite strap end with forked spacer. The strap end has two outer plates sandwiching a forked spacer. The spacer has a decorative knop in the form of an acorn with a narrowed collar below where it joins to the integral arms of the spacer. Thre are three rivets spaced equidistant along the length ot the strap end and a concave attachment edge. The thimble is squashed and no longer round. There are 'V' shaped drilled indentations in five bands around the body of the thimble. The metal has a mid-brown to bronze patina. A Post Medieval cast lead alloy token dating to AD 1659. This is a Powell type 2. The obverse has initials W . S . P in triangle formation (WS with P above) cast in relief with three pellets in triangle formation. The reverse has 1659 in two lines with two pellets, one either side cast in relief.
