A Post Medieval iron two pronged fork with anthropomorphic bone handle dating to the late 16th-17th century. The handle has a oval cross-section and is hollow to secure the tang of the blade. The handle expands to the end and the cross-section changes to a pointed oval. The terminal is carved to form a three-dimensional human head. The frame is cast from a lead alloy and has an incomplete iron spiked loop chape. The frame has a beaded edge on both the inner and outer edge and is decorated with 6 parallel incised lines running its length.
