Copper alloy core or base silver contemporary copy of a silver denarius of Caracalla (AD 196-217), prototype probably dating to c AD 201-10 (Reece Period 10). Unclear reverse type, probably Roma standing left, holding Victory and spear. It is quite possible that the coin is a hybrid with a reverse type from a different series.
