A Medieval copper-alloy strap-end dating from AD 1350 to 1450.  This is a composite strap end with forked spacer. The strap end has two outer plates sandwiching a forked spacer. The spacer has a decorative knop in the form of an acorn with a narrowed collar below where it joins to the integral arms of the spacer. Thre are three rivets spaced equidistant along the length ot the strap end and a concave attachment edge. A Medieval copper alloy sewing ring, dating to the 15th century. The object was formed of a cast cylindrical tube of copper alloy which tapers from one open end to the other. The thimble is squashed and no longer round. There are 'V' shaped drilled indentations in five bands around the body of the thimble. The metal has a mid-brown to bronze patina. Casting occurred from the 14th century to AD 1530, when cast thimbles ceased in Nuremberg (Homes, 1988:1).
