An incomplete Post Medieval pipe clay figure dating AD1670-1720. The figure is missing both legs above the knee. The figure is of a man in late 17th century style there quaters lenght coat with a cravat at his neck and holding a glove in his left hand and command batton in his right. This possible a figure of William III, the style of the wig with large curls at the ends is typical in style of those worn in the 1690's. Late Bronze age-Early Iron Age pottery with rim and wall dating to c.800BC. Fragment is roughly square in shape and consists of the rim and shoulder of a large storage jar. Fabric is a reduced grey colour and has a large number of coarse inclusions, some fragments of shell but mostly grey flint. There is some orange discoloration from the burial environment and the upper surface has been worn in one corner where it has been exposed to river erosion. An incomplete Cheam whiteware measure dating to the 14th-15th century. The measure is baluster shaped, and has a buff fabric which is glazed on the interior with a clear pale green glaze, the interior surface is otherwise undecorated but has regular striations from the wheel turning process. The exterior is poorly finished with numerous stretch-marks, kiln scars and handling marks typical of this type of vessel. A fragment of Roman ceramic tile with Procuratorial stamp dating from AD 80-120. The fragment of tegula or brick has the impression of a stamp that when complete would have read P.PR.BR within an ansate frame, this is a type 2485.10 stamp, similar stamps are depicted in Collingwood (1993:39 xii and xvii). Only the last two letters of the stamp, 'BR' remain. The full stamp would have read P(rocuratores) PR(ovinciae) BR(itanniae). An incomplete Post Medieval ceramic Raeren stoneware shoe/boot dating from AD 1500-1550. The remaining shoe consists of part of the lower leg, ankle and heel part of the shoe, the toe is now missing. The shoe is decorated with a series of stamped dots which represent stitching. The shoe has a grey fabric and glossy grey glaze on both the interior and exterior. A very similar shoe can be seen in Hurst et al (1986:207 fig. 100.323) found at Alkmaar, Netherlands which had a moulded face on the toe area, it is probable that this shoe had the same decoration.
