An early-medieval copper alloy stirrup-strap mount. The object has Anglo-Scandanavian connections and animal imagery. The stirrup mount has a square outline with two small ridges each on the left, right and upper sides. There is an openwork pattern inside. It is possible that the openwork is one (or two) animals with all fore legs raised. There are four perforations in the piece, two in the top corners and two at the lower bar. Three of these perforations are not filled and the top right perforation has the remains of an iron rivet. Similar design to Williams Class B - LIN-3B…
