Detached, waisted side-knob from an Early Saxon copper alloy Cruciform brooch. It is of half-round cross-section with a just visible transverse slot in the base. Base is very pitted, overall brown patina. There is a central longitudinal hole for the pin shaft and an an incised decorative line just above the waist groove. Martin 2015, Group 2 or 3. Length 12.8mm, width 9.5mm and thickness 6.9mm. Weight 2.73g. c.475 - c.550.

Cast copper alloy bar mount with trefoil terminals in the form of a pair of leaves which open out to reveal a bud which tapers to a rounded knop, and which are joined by a bifid collar at the centre. The two projections of the bifid collar consist of moulded lozenges. The two leaves are divided by a longitudinal ridge. There are three integral prongs on the back of the mount, one at the centre and one at each end. They are all worn and the centre one is broken. The longest is 5mm long. An incomplete 14th-15th cast copper alloy single-loop buckle of composite type with forked spacer. The pin is missing. The frame is a quarter-circle in cross-section, and has a projecting point at the centre externally with a small groove forming a pin rest behind, on the internal edge. The junction of the frame and spacer plate is marked by a tranverse bulge against which the external plates fitted. A flint implement, possibly a Mesolithic scraper. It consists of a sub triangular lump of opaque grey flint with a pale orange brown patina. It may be a natural flake. On the ventral side a central flake has been removed which shows a point of percussion and the suggestion of two faint concentric ripples.Whichever way up the implement is held, between thumb and forefinger, the thumb naturally fits the depression thus formed.
