A worn and corroded copper-alloy clapper bell of possible Roman or Early Medieval date (c. AD 43-1100). The bell is incomplete as the clapper is missing. th eobject is conical in form with sides that flare out from the apex. At the upper edge is an intergral suspension loop that has a circular perforation. The suspension loop is angular and broadly lozenge shaped in form. The bell is undecorated and has a mid-green coloured patina. It has been flattened and the rim has suffered some damage, probably from th eplough soil.
