An almost complete copper-alloy composite strap end of Medieval date, circa AD 1300-1500. The object is broadly tongue shaped with a broader upper edge that narrows to a rounded knop terminal. The object comprises of a strap end that has a sheet spacer occupying its whole width. The plates have riveted together. There is a separate central circular copper-alloy rivet with a flattened round head at the attachment end which has been placed off centre. The upper part of the strap end is an inverted triangle.
