A fragment of a Roman trumpet brooch of Bayley and Butcher 2000, Group B/C. It consists of a fragment of the bow. The head, lower bow and catchplate are missing. The bow is decorated at the upper section by three moulded horizontal ribs. The reverse of the bow is flat apart from the broadly triangular in profile remains of the catchplate. The object has a dark green coloured patina across all surfaces.
The fragment measures 39.2 mm in length, 6.8 mm in width, 6.4 mm in thickness and weighs 4.7 grams.
