Description: Incomplete gilded silver post-medieval hooked tag. The plate is rectangular, with six hemispherical knops protruding outwards from the edge, one at each of the four corners and one in the middle of each of the two long sides. There is an area of damage in the middle of the short top edge, suggesting this might be the location of a further knop which is now missing. On the back of the attachment end corner knops there are two old breaks indicating where a transverse attachment loop was originally located. Incomplete copper alloy oval buckle frame of medieval date. The bar, pin and half of one side are missing from an old break. Moulded thickened outside edge, with outward facing 'horn' at both extremes and moulded raised collars either side of a central pin-rest groove. The reverse is flat. A more complete example of the type can be seen at NLM-ABBDA6. Circa 1250-1400 AD.

Cast copper alloy Medieval to early Post-Medieval circular buckle frame with slightly narrowed central bar and missing pin. Frame is roughly semi-circular in cross-section, and bar is sub-trapezoidal. There is no decoration, but there are substantial filing marks as evidence of post-casting fettling. The buckle has a grey patina. A close parallel can be seen at PUBLIC-26C7AF. Circa 1350-1650 AD.

Cast copper alloy Post Medieval Jew's or Jaws harp. Lozengiform sectioned parallel arms extending from the ends of an oval loop. On one face the upper inner edge of the loop has a rebate to take the missing iron tang. A similar example with a description of use can be seen on this database at DEV-FB6E4D. Circa 1550-1700AD.

A complete Medieval cast copper-alloy rotary key, probably for use with a casket lock. The key has an oval bow with a circular aperture. The shank has a sub-oval cross section with a hollow recessed end. The bit extends perpendicularly in an inverted T-shape below the shank. A number of similar rotary keys are published by Egan (1998 , pp. 111-119) who suggests a broad ranging date from AD 1100-1300.

Post-Medieval copper-alloy hooked strap fitting for a sword-belt circa AD1600-1700. The main body of the fitting is sub-pyriform (pear-shaped) in plan, convex at the front and concave at the rear. The front of the main body has three worn vertical facets; one central, and two flanking. At the upper end there is a collar surmounted by a rounded knop that terminates in a smaller knop. Incomplete copper alloy medieval/post medieval monumental brass fragment. The sides are straight and parallel with a transverse break at one end and a 45 degree angled break at the other.
