A fragment of copper alloy bow brooch. The head and partial wings only of a probable Colchester derivative. The wings form an open-backed cylindrical box which may have housed a sprung pin mechanism. The bow projects from the wings and tapers to a break. It is decorated with parallel longitudinal ridges and grooves. The bow has a shallow D-shaped cross section.
