An incomplete Roman cast copper alloy and gilt oval plate brooch, dating to c AD 100 - 300. Part of the edge of the plate is missing and so is the pin and catchplate. The flat plate is divided in two by a plain flanged central oval bezel in which there would originally have been glass or similar. Most of the outer annulus is still largely gilded and is decorated with inscribed or punched circles and dots. On the underside there are the vestigial remains of the lug to hold the pin and even less - simply a mark - of the catchplate.

A fragment of a Roman cast copper alloy hinged T shape brooch, dating to cAD 50 - 150. It is very small, with short cylindical wings, a circular section bow which emanates from the head with a short horizontal section before falling away, tapering rapidly. There is an indication of a small decorative knop at the point where the bow changes angle, but too low to be a crest. It is possible it is a headstud, but the whole of the fragment is heavily encrusted with pale clay-like soil and details cannot be discerned.The remains of a flat hinge can be seen in the pin slot and possible signs…

An incomplete Medieval or Post-Medieval copper alloy chafing dish handle, probably dating to c. AD 1400-1600. The fragment consists of a hexagonal sectioned bar, which follows the line of the cusps of an originally cordate or heart-shaped handle, the rest being lost to old breaks.

A fragment of a Late Bronze Age socketed axehead, dating to c BC 1100 - 800. The surviving fragment comprises of a section of the socket mouth; it is sub-trapezoidal in plan and slightly curved in profile. The base of the fragment is expanded in cross section, suggesting an expanded socket mouth, and with a second, less pronounced collar, parallel to the mouth, below the break.

A Post-Medieval copper alloy strap fitting, probably dating to c. AD 1550-1750. The strap fitting consists of a rectangular bar of copper alloy, sub-rectangular in cross section and with a slightly convex upper face. A rectangular loop projects from the reverse. The front of the bar is decorated with a curvilinear foliate design of punched annulets, with several retaining traces of gilding.
Dimensions: 15.25mm in length; 18.50mm in width; 3.20g in weight.

A complete Medieval or post Medieval copper alloy mount or strap fitting, dating to c AD 1450 - 1550. The mount consists of a heart-shaped or cordate plate of copper alloy, flat in cross section and with a circular perforation through each lobe. There are traces of a probable solder on the reverse.
Dimensions: 19.68mm in length; 17mm in width; 1.49mm thick; 1.86g in weight.

An incomplete Medieval copper alloy buckle plate, dating to c. AD 1200 - 1500. The fragment comprises of the damaged front plate only, with the back plate lost to an old break. The front plate has been folded in half. The plate is sub-rectangular in plan, and would have originally been recessed at the fold, with a sub-rectangular slot to accommodate a pin; of the resulting two 'arms' which connected the front and back plates, one has been lost to an old break and the other truncated. A Medieval copper alloy harness pendant, dating to c. AD 1200 - 1400. The pendant consists of a shield shaped plate, with a square top and tapering to a point at the base, with an attachment loop projecting from the centre of the top edge. This was probably originally transverse, but has been deformed and is now on the same plane. The front of the plate is decorated with a recessed, cross-shaped field, although any enamel has been lost.

A Fragment of a Middle or Late Bronze Age copper alloy spear head, probably dating to c. 1550-800 BC. The surviving fragment comprises of the point of the spear head, between the point and the internal socket end. The fragment is sub-triangular in plan, expanding from the point into an old break. The spearhead is cast with a central longitudinal midrib, from which the wings project tapering into the edge. The mid-rib and socket are both rounded in cross section. A Post-Medieval copper alloy dress hook of Read's (2008) class E, type 3, probably dating to c. AD 1500-1625. The dress hook comprises of a sub-rectangular plate cast into an openwork depicting of two inward facing scrolled volutes, with a rectangular loop projecting from the top edge. A backwards facing hook projects from the opposite side of the plate, preceded by a transverse collar, and flanked by flanged knops at their base.

Three Roman ceramic sherds; one rim sherd of Oxfordshire red-brown colour coated ware, and two oxidised body sherds of probable Roman date, c. AD 100-410. The rim sherd is of a fine grained oxidised, micaeous fabric, with a slightly reduced core, and occasional ferrous inclusions. From a vessel with an everted rim with a slightly beaded and pinched rim. The two body sherds are of a coarse grained, high fired, oxidised fabric, with reduced core and coarse grit temper. Sherd 1: 4.25g. Sherds 2&3: 8.73g.
