A medieval to post-medieval cast lead or lead-alloy weight, dating to the period AD1350 - 1650. It is rectangular in form and in section, measuring 25.40mm in length, 24.45mm in width and 5.26mm thick. It weighs 27.21g which is just under an ounce. On one surface of the weight there are two roughly incised lines which divide the surface into approximately four quarters.

A complete copper alloy farthing trade token, probably dating to 17th century AD. Obverse shows a central shield with the Mercer's Maiden, the coat of arms and symbol of the Mercer's Company City of London, with HENRY LAMBERT [..] around the edge. The reverse shows L above HS with three rosettes surrounding, all within a border and probably CHIPPENHAM MERCER around the edge. It is 15.99mm in diameter and weighs 0.92g.

A complete cast copper alloy medieval sewing thimble dating to AD 1400 - 1550. It is domed, and has drilled pits in a single spiral. At the base is a circumferential groove. It is 20.12mm in height, 20.00mm in diameter at the base and weighs 6.94g. An incomplete post medieval lead cloth seal dating to AD 1500-1700. The item is a roughly circular disc, the lower part of which has torn away.It would have linked to another via a connecting lug, the tab of whcih is still in place, with an early break evident. The inner surface if the disc has a raised margin. The outer surface has been stamped, or has moulded into it, a feature which includes a central circle with the letters R H and a decoration of stars and pellets. It is 18.16mm in diameter and weighs 2.30g.

A fragment of a post medieval lead alloy seal dating from c. AD 1600-1850. What remains is a sub semi circular flat piece of lead, probably originally circular but with an early break across the middle, and the remains of a broken tab at one edge. The seal may have been for wool or other cloth and has the inscription :S[...]//6= The seal would have been 35.25mm in diameter. The fragment is 35.25mm x 30.38mm including the tab. It is 1.54mm thick. It weighs 12.59g.

A complete copper alloy mount in the form of a human head of medieval date AD 1300-1500. It is 15.15mm in length and 12.00mm in width. It has a convex face with projecting sub triangular snub nose and short straight inscribed lines to indicate eyes and cheeks and mouth. Seven radiating mouldings above the forehead apparently represent hair, with two of these broken off short from an early date. A complete modern gilt cast copper alloy military button, 38th Foot, (Staffordshire regiment), probably post AD1860. It is circular in plan and domed in section, made in two parts, with a soldered attachment loop on the reverse. The front of the button shows the royal crown, the number 38 with the crossed rope or knot of this regiment. On the reverse it is stamped Jennens and Co London with the Prince of Wales feathers. The hoop has an oval section, the strap bar is circular in section. There is a single notch where the pin would have met the hoop. It is 29.80mm in length, 21.14mm in width and weighs 4.88g.

An incomplete cast copper alloy medieval single single loop D shape buckle, dating to AD1250 - 1400. It is missing the pin and there is no buckle plate. There are moulded knops at the ends of the narrowed strap bar. The hoop has a significantly expanded outer edge (8.70mm in width) and is a narrow D shape in section. The strap bar is rectangular in section . It is 29.05mm in length, 20.15mm in width (strap bar to outer edge of hoop) and weighs 4.28g.

An incomplete copper alloy double loop trapezoidal buckle, one loop is missing. The buckle has pointed ends, at either end of the strap bar there are knops, the outside edge is bevelled. the incomplete iron pin partially survives. Buckles of this type date to c.1570-1700. This buckle is identical in style to No.513 in Whitehead (2003) It is 22.54mm in length (strap bar to outer edge of frame), 21.68mm in width and weighs 3.93g.The outer part of the frame is 8.33mm to the point of the traingle.
