Terminal from of the handle of a copper alloy Medieval chafing dish circa AD 1450-1500. The terminal is a three dimensional animal's head, shaped by casting but with the details of the nostrils and eyes added with incised lines. The terminal is broadly cylindrical with a drilled perforation through the centre. This would attach the terminal to the metal rod of the drop handle. Similar examples are found on the database: BUC-13C027.
The object is 16.2mm in length, 13.2mm width, 10.5mm thickness and 9.55 grams in weight.
