A worn break is present at each terminal. Decoration at the apex of the curve comprises an openwork trefoil knop. A green patina is on the surface, with areas exhibitign a white metal coating. A post medieval copper alloy knife terminal, dating to the period c.AD 1500-1700. The object is in the form of a zoomorphic head with projecting snout, probably a dog. The object is roughly rectangular in cross section, with rounded edges. The object has a green-brown patina on the surface and is very worn. The remains of the tang are visible, and exhibit signs of a newer break as the patina is shiny yellow in colour. The knife terminal measures 15.03mm in length, 14.22mm in width, 8.66mm in thickness and weighs 4.90g.
