Double arched jewelled (outer arch only) crowned bust with long cross reverse. Minted at Canterbury with tun mint mark preceding legend. Some clipping and wear around circumference, legend still legible.

Medieval silver Halfgroat of Edward IV, first reign (1461-1470), Minted in Canterbuy (Royal), 'Light Coinage' (1464/5-1470) North 1589 VIII (North 1991, 88). The coin is clipped aound its circumference and particularly worn around the circumference on the obverse obscuring much of the legend. Initial mark unclear, saltires by neck. Some evidence of double striking on reverse with shadow letters behind. Measurements: 21.32mm in diameter, 0.57mm thick and 1.43g in weight
