A near complete cast copper-alloy, double loop oval buckle with black lacquer. Probably dating to c. 16th or 17th centuries Description: The buckle frame is formed from from two oval loops. The pin is missing and decoration is unclear due to wear. The strap bar projects either side of the frame. A worn cast gold inscribed finger-ring or 'posie or posy' dating to the 17th century. Description: The hoop is circular in plan, D-shaped. The inscription, which runs around the internal circumferences, is in lower case and reads '__In begin so let us end' it is followed by the makers mark 'WG'. The beginning of the inscription may be missing but it isn't certain. The band shows some abrasion with small nicks around the loop. A fragment of a medieval silver signet ring, dating to the 15th century. Description: The fragment comes from the uper section of the ring, representing part of the bezel and shoulders. The bezel has an engraved monogram of the initials SI or SIT within a squre box. The remains of the shoulders indicate they were wide, triangular and tapered to a relatively thin band typical of the period. The outer surface is decorated with concentric rings of punched circular dimplings, at a slight angle to the ring of the thimble itself. A complete cast copper-alloy middle Bronze Age c.1400-1150BC Quoit headed pin. The pin consists of a large ovoid head, which is slightly pointed where the shank of the pin begins, the shank only remains as a stub which is fairly heavily bent.
