An incomplete milled gold Post-Medieval Portuguese 4000 reis or 'moidore' João V (1706-1750). Minted at the Brazilian mint of Bahia, in the city of Salvador and dated '1723'. The coin has been damaged after deposition with the flan missing from 6-11 o'clock. Measurements: 28.62mm in diameter, 1.53mm thick and 7.07g in weight.

A distorted, complete gold and garnet finger ring dating to the Roman period, probably the 3rd century AD. Description: The ring has been compressed, giving it an almost pear-shaped profile but was originally polygonal with a raised bezel. The shoulders are expanded and the bezel section rectangular in shape. The bezel has a tear-shaped garnet, set within cell created from reserve metal. The ring band is made from hammered gold.
