An incomplete and abraded early-medieval silver penny of Offa of Mercia (757-96), Light Coinage (c.765-92), Moneyer: Babba (Chick 91/Blunt 6/north 267), mint: Canterbury. It is cracked in four places (seen vertically on the reverse most clearly) ,appearing to be fold marks although whether this is from pre- or post-deposition activity is hard to gauge.
