Coin presents with double striking error showing shadows of the features behind lettering, crown etc. Measurements: 17.71mm in diameter, 1.01mm in thickness and weighs 1.27g.

An incomplete early-medieval silver penny of Eadwald of East Anglia (c.796-798/800), new type (see below), mint: East Anglia (Ipswich?), moneyer Eadnoth. The coin is badly chipped, cracked and incomplete, missing much of the outer edge as well as two larger, triangular-shaped fragments.
