A hammered worn and slightly misstruck silver medieval penny of Henry V (r.1413-142), North Type 1404, Class G from the York ecclesiastical mint under Archbishop Henry Bowet.
Obv.: Class G bust, neat crowned facing bust with hollow neck. Lis to right of the crown. Pierced cross initial mark. Legend: '+[HENRIC REX ANGLI]E'. Rev.: Pierced quatrefoil at centre of long cross dividing legend. Legend: 'CIVI/TAS/EBO/RACI'. Both sides of th ecoin are quite worn, particularly on the obverse, the obverse is struck off centre. Some abrasion has occured which obscures much of the legend.
