A late Early-Medieval silver cut halfpenny of Edward the Confessor (r.1042-1066), Sovereign/Eagles type minted at London (c.1056-1059), by the moneyer Brihtmær or Cinemær. North 827.
Obv.: Facing crowned king seated on throne. Leg.: '[EDW]ARD REX ANG[LORUM]'. Obv.: Short void cross with a bird in each angle. Leg.:'[___]AER'ON LVN'. Coin is cut across the line sof the void cross and cuts the obverse from 9-3 o'clock
