A Post Medieval silver hammered coin of Elizabeth I (AD 1558- 1603). The coin is a threehalfpence with rose and date (dated 1561), and a Pheon mintmark on obverse and reverse. The coin is a large flan type with inner beaded circle diameter 12.5 mm. See Spink (2011) 2568, p 255 for a similar example.

A folded medieval silver groat of Henry VII (1485-1509); Class IV (single arched crown with 6 uprights as jewels); mint: London; initial mark: crosslet; North 1706a; 1504-7. There is a tight fold on the top right quarter (which is cracked), and a tear to the left of the head; the latter is most likely plough damage. Note that the 'L' in London is visible under the fold, but not in the images.

A Post Medieval gold coin. The coin is a Guinea of Charles II (AD 1660 -1685), dated 1668. The obverse depicts the third laureate bust right. Similar to Spink (2011) number 3342, p328. The die axis of the coin is vertical and there is no mint mark.

A Post Medieval copper- alloy complete Georgian shoe buckle, dating from c. AD 1720 to AD 1770. The buckle frame is sub-rectangular in plan with rounded edges. The frame is drilled at the top and bottom to take a separate iron spindle. Attached to the spindle is a copper-alloy two-point loop chape and pitchfork tongue. The buckle is well preserved and all the joints still move. The surface has a dark green patina. .

A Post Medieval complete copper-alloy thimble, dating from c. AD 1450 to 1550. The thimble is a 'beehive' type with a tonsured top. The lower rim is slightly raised on the outside. The circular Indentations on the body of the thimble have been hand punched in a left-handed spiral from the tonsured top to bottom rim. The method of manufacture of the body is uncertain (although the indentations are hand punched). The surface patina is a mid green colour. When found, the inside was filled with hard-packed soil which had prevented the shape from being deformed.

A slightly corroded elaborate cast copper-alloy object: a strap-fitting possibly relating to a medieval sword-belt hook. The broadly U-shaped object has a hook at one end and a loop at the other. The loop's sub-rectangular slot was presumably for a leather strap. After the rounded curve the other part of the strap-fitting straightens, becoming parallel with the loop.
