An incomplete copper alloy Roman Hod Hill type brooch without side lugs, dating AD 43-70. The brooch consists of the length of the bow, and is missing the pin and axis bar, part of the wings and most of the foot. The bow is triangular in shape, expanding at the top for the head with a notch for the pin. The head curves outwards towards the bow and there are traces of iron corrosion in the curve. An incomplete Roman copper alloy T-shaped brooch with hinge mechanism dating AD c.50-150, missing it's pin and terminal end. The tubular wings span 19.5mm with the bow projecting from the centre. One of the wings may have been broken, and there is white concretion in the end. On the reverse of the wings is a central slot for the pin, the hinge bar is still in situ but corroded (and probably iron). The bow has moulded decoration which is very worn. A fragment of a copper alloy La Tène III type, Nauheim derivative brooch dating from the 1st century BC to 1st century AD. The fragment consists of the upper part of the bow and part of the spring. The bow is sub rectangular in shape, thin and slightly convex. The bow narrows slightly towards the lower half and ends in an old break. An incomplete copper alloy medieval diamond- or square-shaped brooch, missing its pin. The frame is decorated with a border of punched rings running along the centre of each edge. These edges are bevelled and trapezoidal in cross-section. On one inside corner of the frame is a hole where the pin would have been attached; on the reverse is the remains of an iron rivet. An incomplete copper alloy Roman (AD 50-150) Colchester derivative ('dolphin') type brooch missing approximately half of the spring and the pin. The brooch measures 39.5mm in length and weighs 7.78g. The wings are C-shaped in cross section and span 23.2mm. There are traces of an incised transverse line at either end of the wings.

A fragment of a copper alloy Roman bow brooch dating from the 1st to the early 2nd century AD. The fragment consists of the catch plate, lower bow and foot. The catch plate is sub-triangular in shape and has an openwork frame. The foot consists of a knop protruding from the base of the bow. The bow is thin and oval shaped in cross-section. It is undecorated and has a light green patina. The fragment measures 25.8mm in length and 12.7mm in maximum width. The bow of the brooch measures 1.9mm by 3.8mm in cross section. The fragment weighs 1.89g.

The wings are C-shaped in cross section and decorated to the front with a transverse groove at either open end, to either side of the bow, and a diagonal groove between. Both open ends have a small amount of recent damage. The ends have possibly been broken and have evidence of an old break. An incomplete copper alloy circular Roman plate brooch missing its pin shank and dating c. AD 80-250.
The brooch is circular and flat, measuring 1.8mm thick. At the centre there is a copper alloy circle surrounded by a red enamel ring. Around this is a copper alloy ring and beyond eight copper alloy pellets on a black enamel background. The edge comprises a copper alloy rim. To one place, the surface has been bent and damaged, and the enamel is missing at this point.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy Iron Age La Tene III 'Knotenfibeln' (Boss-on-Bow) type brooch, dating from 100-50 BC. The remains of the brooch consist of two of the four original large spring coils, with the cord passing internally below the remaining coils. This is followed by a sharply arched neck and moulded decoration on the upper surface of the bow, which is circular in cross-section at the top and D-shaped in cross-section at the bottom. A copper alloy coil, consisting of five coils, and perhaps from a Roman sprung brooch. The coils are flat, c.3mm wide and 0.9mm thick. Each end coil tapers to c.1.4mm wide. The patina is smooth, shiny and a bright bluey-green in colour; patches are missing. It measures 14.9mm in length, 6.6mm wide, 1.6mm thick and weighs 1.04g.

A fragment of a Roman (AD 50-150) T-shaped (initial) brooch. It consists of the upper bow, wings, part of the head loop and roughly half of the pin only. The head has tubular wings (17.2mm wide) with a transverse incised line at either end. To the reverse is a notch for the pin, which is hinged on the still present copper alloy axis bar. An incomplete Roman (AD 100-200) copper alloy zoomorphic (hippocamphs) plate brooch of Mackreth 2011,Chapter 7, Part 3, OBJECT, Type 7.2. With enamel decoration. As the tail-end of the animal is missing it is difficult to determine if it is a hippocampus (half-horse, half-fish) rather than a horse, but the presence of tiny and apparently complete fins below the front portion of the body suggest it might be part-fish. An incomplete Roman (AD 50-150) copper alloy Colchester derivative brooch (with double-pierced lug). It measures 55.57mm and weighs 15.18g.
The wings are C-shaped in cross-section (being concave to the reverse) and span 27.91mm. Both have a transverse groove close to the end of the wing. To the reverse is a double-pierced lug, the top of which extends above the wings to the top of the bow.
