A cast lead spindle whorl of uncertain date, probably from the early medieval period. The whorl is circular in plan with a plano-convex profile, and is white in colour. It is 27.3mm in diameter with a maximum thickness of 5.0mm, and a conical central aperture of 6.5mm diameter (convex face) to 9.5mm (flat face), and it weighs 17.9g. It is round in plan and pear-shaped in profile, with extensive iron corrosion at both longitudinal ends where suspension loops are located. There are several vertical cracks caused by corrosion & expansion of the embedded iron. There are no markings and the surface, where not covered in rust, has a well-developed white patination. Two pieces of copper metal working debris. Both are small irregularly shaped fragments of solidified copper slag. All surfaces are uneven with vesicles and small black flecks of charcoal & some shiny gold & silver coloured flecks incorporated. Both fragments are corroded with patches of green verdigris, and red corrosion is generally present. The reverse of the object has a shield-shaped protrusion which is a little off-centre; a few mm in from (and following the line of) the perimeter are arranged 7 small round protrusions. Cast copper alloy rectangular shoe or knee buckle with rounded ends and a drilled frame, missing the pin and spindle. The frame has 2 moulded pin rests on the outer edge of each loop which are flanked by 3 incised diagonal grooves, and is thickened at the midpoints over each spindle hole. Measures 36.2 by 25.7 mm and weighs 6.7 grams. Similar to no. 662 in 'Buckles' by Whitehead (1996), which is dated to c.1690 - 1720

Copper alloy horse harness fitting. It appears to be the terminal from a cheek piece, or a bit or harness link, and is broken at both ends, with a surviving length of 23.1mm, and is 24.0mm in width. Copper alloy spoon fragment consisting of part of the handle and part of the bowl. The handle is elliptical in cross-section and extends on to the underside of the bowl in the form of a trefoil. The shape of the shoulders suggest the bowl would have been very shallow, and probably fig-shaped. The fragment as found measures 41.5 long by 31.1mm wide, the handle is 5.3 thick by 6.1mm wide and it weighs 6.8g. It has a dark green patina. Probably post-medieval, suggested date range 1500 - 1700

In the form of a three-dimensional acorn with a small central boss at the top, in a naturalistic cup, mounted in turn on a round integral pedestal with concave sides of 7mm dia at the midpoint and a wider (11.9mm dia.) base with a small (8.2mm dia.) round projection which terminates in an old break. It may possibly be a part of a harness fitting. The outer diameter is 28.1mm, width is 4.2 and thickness 3.3mm, and it weighs 4.2g. It measures 77.5 wide by 43mm high and is roughly in the form of a trapezium, with the rim as the longest edge and three old breaks at the lower edges. The vertical profile shows a convex thickened lip to the inner face of up to 5mm thickness over a circumferential strip extending downwards to 13.5mm below the rim, and the thickness of the side wall at the bottom edge of the fragment is 2.5mm, increasing to a maximum of 3.4mm near the rim.
