Medieval (late 13th to 14th century) buckle: The copper alloy buckle frame is single looped and D shape in plan with a lipped frame and a narrowed offset strap bar. There are four lobed knops dividing three transverse grooves. The reverse is undecorated and flat in profile and the pin is missing. The buckle surface has a well-developed dark green patina. The buckle measures 17.73mm in length, 24.85mm wide and weighs 1.92g.
A similar example of this type can be seen in Whitehead (2003: page 21, no.78).

Medieval (late 13th to 15th century) buckle: The copper alloy buckle frame is a double looped oval in plan with bevelled edges. The loops and reverse are undecorated. The reverse is flat in profile and the strap bar is a rounded trapezoid in section. The pin is missing.
The buckle surface has a well-developed mid-green patina. The buckle measures 24.01mm in length, 18.94mm wide and weighs 2.43g.
