Description:  A small silver gilt badge or mount cast into the form of a five-petaled rose flanked by antlers. Extensive gilding remains on the front of the badge, covering the antlers and cross hatched centre of the rose, but leaving the petals white. The back is plain, with clear file marks and the scar left by a soldered loop, probably of silver, but now lost. Dimensions: The badge is 13.7mm long by 15.3mm wide and is 2.1mm thick; it weighs 1.63g. Discussion: The piece appears to be a mount in the form of a livery badge.
