A complete copper alloy casket key of post-medieval (16th century) date. The key has a kidney shaped bow with two internal projections located above the shank. The shank is oval in cross section and has a raised collar of the same shape between the bow and the shank. The bit of the key is a simple rectangular projection a little way above the narrowed pin at the end of the shank. These are casket keys dating from c. AD 1500-1600. Similar examples can be seen in Read (2001:73), especially nos. 564 and 566. Weight: 4.0gms Length: 35.4mm Width: 16.7mm Thickness: 4.8mm

A complete copper alloy casket key of medieval date (c.AD 1150-1450). The key comprises a circular loop, from which an oval cross-sectioned bow extends. A rectangular cross-sectioned bit projects at 90 degrees from the bow. This narrows to a neck, and then expands out again. The bow appears to be hollow at the terminal with the bit. The key measures 36.1mm in length, 11.9mm in width, 3.7mm in thickness and weighs 3.9g.

An incomplete copper-alloy one-piece brooch of 'Nauheim derivative' La Tene III type of the Late Iron Age or early Roman period, dating from c. AD 25 - c. AD 100. The brooch is sub-triangular in plan and bowed in profile. The pin has been lost. The body tapers into a narrow undecorated foot. It retains its unperforated catchplate, which is incomplete, the curved outer edge which would have held the pin is mostly missing. Similar examples can be found in A Visual Catalogue of Richard Hattatt's Ancient Brooches. Weight: 3.3gms Length: 45.5mm Width: 12.1mm Thickness 1.4mm

A near complete and very well preserved cast copper alloy Colchester derivative Polden Hill type brooch of early Roman date (80-120 AD) which has been deliberately folded / bent. An incomplete copper alloy Colchester derivative, (dolphin type) brooch dating to the Roman period (c. AD 43-100). The brooch consists of the head with complete wings and end plates, the hinge and spring are both missing. The bow arches from the head and tapers to a worn break roughly half way down the bow. The entire brooch is decorated with a series of ridges: five each on either wing with the inner most ridge, the centre ridge and the outermost ridge bearing incised horizontal line in a rope-like motif.
