A silver Roman Republican denarius of moneyer M. Papirius Carbo, dating to c.122 BC (Reece period 1). M.CA[RBO], in exergue [ROMA], reverse type depicting Jupiter in a quadriga right holding reins and sceptre in left hand, hurling a thunderbolt with right. Mint of Rome. As RRC, p. 295, no. 276/1.
The coin is 18.17mm in diameter and 1.75mm thick. It weighs 3.8gm.

A Roman copper alloy bracelet of expanding type made of a single piece of circular sectioned wire, 3rd century in date. The ends of the wire are overlapped and then each is wrapped around the main loop of the bracelet giving an adjustable catch. The ends taper from the point they start being wrapped around, both ends are wrapped around five times It is slightly out of shape, measuring 77.38mm x 68.32mm in diameter. Crummy (1983) illustrates a very similar bracelet (page 39 no.1601) from a third century context in Colchester.

A silver washed copper-alloy Roman radiate of Probus (AD 276-282), dating to c. AD 281 (Reece period 14). MARTI PACIF reverse type depicting Mars walking left holding branch, spear, and shield. Mint of Ticinum, ninth series. As RIC V.2, p. 71, no. 510. This is a rare coin which was not represented in the Gloucester hoard.
