A silver Roman Republican denarius of moneyer M. Papirius Carbo, dating to c.122 BC (Reece period 1). M.CA[RBO], in exergue [ROMA], reverse type depicting Jupiter in a quadriga right holding reins and sceptre in left hand, hurling a thunderbolt with right. Mint of Rome. As RRC, p. 295, no. 276/1. The coin is 18.17mm in diameter and 1.75mm thick. It weighs 3.8gm.

A cast lead alloy button dating from the post-medieval period, AD1500-1700. The button survives almost complete with only limited damage around the rim. Circular in plan, it has a slightly convex front face, while the reverse demonstrates a casting seam with an integral loop set at its midpoint, the shank of which is circular in section. The reverse is plain, the obverse decorated with a central pellet which is surrounded with three concentric bands of raised pellets which gradually increase in size towards the outer circle. A complete cast copper-alloy seal matrix of 'pedestal' or 'chessman' form dating to the Medieval period, c. 1300-1400. It demonstrates a hexagonally-setioned faceted handle topped with a terminal in the form of a pointed oval- the latter demonstrating a circular aperture at its midpoint that originally would have served to suspend the matrix. A complete cast lead-alloy personal seal matrix of Medieval date, c. 1280-1350. It is circular in plan with the remains of an integrally cast vertical rib at the centre of the back face, with a squashed suspension lug demonstrating a clogged circular aperture at its midpoint present at the apex of the matrix. The seal die has a central motif which appears as an eight-spoked wheel or eight-spoked floral design within a circular border.
