Part of a Early Early-Medieval buckle plate, of Aquitanian-Frankish type. The piece is part of a flat plate with downturned edges giving a hollow back and now slightly bent in from each side. One end is complete and straight with two broken projecting rectangular bars which would have connected to the frame.
