Post Medieval silver lace tag/lace chape. Silver sheet folded into truncated cone shape; two pierced holes at lower edge for attachment. Etched decoration at lower edge and down towards smaller end on two sides. 17th Century? In terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996 (Dr Dora Thornton, Curator of Renaissance Collections, The British Museum, 5th December 2006).

A cast copper alloy finger ring of medieval date. The hoop has a diameter of 20.9mm, a width of around 1.8mm and a thickness of around 1.4mm. The ring weighs 2.4g. The bezel is in the form of a quatrefoil with an additional central raised lobe and measures 9.8mm by 9.8mm by 6.6mm high. In each of the five lobes there is a round setting containing the off-white remains of the adhesive used to secure glass or gems. One either side of the bezel is a shoulder defined by a plain transverse ridge. Geoff Egan suggests a later 13th to 15th century date.

A cast copper alloy annular buckle of probable post-medieval date. The single loop buckle with central bar buckle has a diameter of 36.8mm, a thickness of 2.1mm and weighs 8.63g. The frame is around 5-6mm wide and the strap bar narrows to 2mm. It has a square cross section. Both the back and front are flat and the front is decorated with punched annulaets which are fairly regaulrly space, although two overlap each other. The back is is covered in light file marks. A cast copper alloy buckle of probable post-medieval date. The plain double frame rectangular buckle measures 24.9mm by 20mm by 2.4mm and weighs 3.64g. The back is flat and the front is slightly bevelled. Part of the buckle is distorted but originally both loops were the same shape and size. The pin is missing. This buckle probably dates from the seventeenth century.

The hook piece from a sheet copper alloy book fitting of probable post-medieval date. The book fitting measures 40.9mm by 23.5mm by 4mm and weighs 6.29g. It is flat and rectangular with one flared and split end, which is slightly damaged. At the narrow end there is a hook which curves backwards. The front plate is riveted to a smaller back plate, with two rivets at the wide end and one at the narrow end. The front plate is decorated with two stamped concentric circles around a central dot.

An incomplete cast copper alloy pocket sundial of post-medieval date. The surviving part consists of the circular body of the sundial (broken at one point) which measures 40.5mm in maximum diameter, 10.6mm in width and 2.2mm in thickness. The rotating inner slide and supension loop are missing. Around the outside surface there is a central groove, 1.8mm wide, part of which has been cut away for a length of 40mm. The weight is square, 16.6mm by 16.4mm by 3.1mm, and weighs 5.9g. On the front is a crown and to the left of this is a small stamp of another crown. The Roman numerals underneath read XVs. On the back is a central rose surrounded by a sun symbol, in turn surrounded by lions and fleurs-de-lis, all within a circular border. This coin weight would have weighed 6.4g when new (Withers and Withers 1995, p. 13).

On the front is a crown and to the left of this is a small stamp of another crown over the letter 'I'. The Roman numerals underneath probably read XVs VID (the 'D' is faintly visible). On the back is a central rose surrounded by a sun symbol, in turn surrounded by lions and fleurs-de-lis, all within a circular border. A cast copper alloy rose royal coin weight of James I, dating from 1612-19. The weight is square, 18.1mm by 18.2mm by 4.8mm, and weighs 11.37g. The coin weight is very worn but the designs are just discernible on both sides. On the front the legend reads XXXIII and on the back there is a shield on a rose. This coin weight would have weighed 13.8g when new (Withers and Withers 1995, p. 12).

A cast copper alloy buckle of post medieval date. The double frame trapezoidal buckle measures 52mm by 46mm by 2.8mm and weighs 12.5g. It has pointed outer edges with an engraved horizontal line at the widest point on each side. There is a rounded external knop at each end of the narrowed strap bar and a projecting oval knop at each corner of the frame. The pin is missing. There are faint traces of silvering or tinning in several places. This buckle probably dates from the seventeenth century.

A copper alloy finger ring of probable post-medieval date. The ring measures 22.2mm in diameter, 8.5mm in width, 1.1mm in thickness and weighs 3.04g. The fragmentary first disc from a two disc cast lead cloth seal of probable seventeenth century date. The fragment measures 28.4mm by 23.14mm by 3.5mm and weighs 9.86g. The external face depicts a shield on which there is a upwards pointing sword with two mullets on each side and a cross pattee above. These are the arms of the city of Haarlem in Holland. Around the arms is the legend HAERL[EMS GOET], meaning goods from Haarlem. On the rivet is the number 20, which indicated the length in Dutch ells of the cloth being certified. Around the rivet is the impression of a finely woven cloth.
