An incomplete copper alloy Iron Age (400-200 BC) La Tène I type brooch, missing its pin and lower bow. It measures 46.33mm in length, 15.50mm in max. width and weighs 8.33g. Three coils survive, as well as the chord passing above (which has broken but is complete). Inside the coils is a short length of copper alloy axis bar, the ends of which are slightly expanded to stop the coils slipping (5.7mm and 4.6mm, respectively). Measures 44.33mm in length and weighs 5.49g. The tubular wing span is 16.86mm and c. 3.5-4.5mm in diameter. An incomplete copper alloy Roman (AD 150-300) enamelled oval plate brooch, missing a central oval (probably paste or glass) intaglio, some of the enamel decoration, the spring and pin and most of the catchplate. A fragment of Roman (AD 50-150) copper alloy bow brooch, consisting of the lower bow and worn catchplate only. It measures 28.39x6.76x4.46mm and weighs 1.51g. The lower bow narrows from the old worn break (6.76x2.45mm) to the pointed foot. It is flat in cross-section but with a prominent triangular cross-section rib running along the centre. Both long edges are engrailed. To the revers the catchplate survives to a height of 10.44mm and is missing its curl. Not enough survives of the brooch to classify it, but similar brooches in Hattatt (2007) are no.412 (T-shaped) and 1492 (Hod Hill).

A Late Iron Age/ Early Roman (AD 1-100) La Tène III Nauheim derivative brooch of 'Winchester' type, measuring 39.82mm in length and weighing 4.19g. The head consists of three spring coils 8.05mm wide, the central one of which extends into the pin which is now bent to follow the line of the bow. The chord curves underneath the top of the bow (3.19mm). The bow is flat and undecorated and projects forwards from the head, turning at its widest point (6.24mm) to narrow and drop to the foot, 0.87mm wide. The break on the upper bow is relatively recent and measures 8.47x1.43mm (it is rectangular in cross-section). The break occurs across one of two surviving square cells, which would have originally held enamel decoration. A fragment of Roman (AD 75-175) copper alloy trumpet brooch, consisting of the central button and part of the lower bow only. The fragment is extremely worn and missing all original patina. It measures 18.27x7.72x7.31mm and weighs 3.04g. The central button (7.72x7.31mm) is in the form of a full acanthus, with six leaves above and below a circumferential rib. Below the bow is oval in cross-section and measures 4.96x5.46, narrowing to 3.05x3.65 at the (old) break. In her "Roman Brooch Timeline", Worrell (2007) dates trumpet brooches to AD 75-175.
