A group of 6 musket balls of Post Medieval date, probably 17th century. All are sub-spherical and unusually smooth, not appearing to have impacted. They may not have been fired. All the balls have a flat area where the casting sprue has been trimmed. They are all about 15mm diameter and range from 21g - 27g. According to Harding's (2012) Lead Shot of the English Civil War, these fall in the sizes used by Carbine, Arquebus and Caliver small arms, suggesting they may have been used by cavalry soldiers. The balls have a cream to white patina.

An incomplete Post-Medieval cast copper alloy (brass) thimble with sloping sides and a domed top, dating from about 1650-1850. The top of the thimble has cross-hatched decoration, a waffle pattern, rather than circular pits. The main body of the thimble is decorated with circular pits in a regular pattern. the rim is missing, as is most of the sides. Thimbles with a similar pattern may be found on the database at PAS record IDs: SWYOR-632EF5, SWYOR-634C03 and SUSS-27AB44.

A fragment of a copper alloy Roman brooch, a headstud brooch dating from AD 75 - 200. Only the head of the brooch survives. It has tubular wings holding a copper alloy axis bar and the head of a hinged copper alloy pin. There is a vertical ridge on the top of the bow; a pseudo forward chord hook. The headstud was integral but is now corroded and missing. The front of the wings are decorated with two crescents of blue enamel and also empty triangular cells. An incomplete Post-Medieval Jews Harp dating from about AD 1500 - 1800, missing its iron tongue. It is lozenge-shaped in cross-section and key hole shaped in plan, the mouth end being oval in shape. The rabbet or notch on one face of the mouth end is visible, though filled with iron corrosion. A Post Medieval, cast copper alloy, openwork hooked tag dating from AD 1500-1650. The design of the body is a ropework knot of three loops, each end of the knot having a floral terminal above a circular collar. The outer ends of the terminals are connected by a narrow, flat strip of metal, creating a sub-triangular attachment loop. A flat, bevelled hook depends from the bottom of the central loop; this is largely intact except for the very end of the point. The tag has a dark brown patina. A lead alloy artifact, probably a window came (lead strip holding the glass in place in leaded lights) of probable Post medieval date (AD 1500-1800). It consists of two roughly rectangular sheets of lead separated by narrow vertical struts, giving an H shaped section. There is a V shaped indentation in each of the long sides; whether this is original, or later damage, is uncertain. It measures 19.92mm in length, 15.08mm in width, 4.96mm in thickness, and 4.30grams in weight.

A Post Medieval, lead alloy cloth seal dating from AD 1660 -1669, probably 1665. It consists of a circular disc with a rectangular tab extending from one side. The tab remains in place and is bent in two. This is probably a sole surviving disc from a four disc cloth seal. On one side the disc carries a two line impression in relief reading CAR / SAY / 166(5). The other side is plain except for a small raised pellet in the centre. An incomplete cast copper alloy Post-Medieval rowel spur dating from about the 17th-18th Century. The spur is formed of a curved and flattened copper alloy band which would fit around the base of the ankle/heel. Both terminals are missing. The breaks show the arm to be D shaped in section. In the centre of the curve is a projection which splits into two with a slot where a rowel would have fitted. Compare to PAS record ID: LVPL-319747 and SWYOR-8AEE12. The small size of this spur may suggest it belonged to a child.

There are traces of tinning or silvering. The underside has two flat mounting spikes; both remain in place and are bent over. The mount is 14.6mm in diameter and 9.2mm thick. It weighs 2.95gm.

A Post Medieval Buckle dating from AD 1575-1700 and made of cast copper alloy. It is double looped and asymmetrical with one trapezoid and one D shaped loop. The D shaped loop has a projection from the outer edge which is in the shape of an acorn. There is a slight knop at each end of the bar. The buckle is in good condition and is without any decoration. It is 27.70mm in length, 1651mm in width, 3.63mm thick and weighs 2.30gm. The pin and plate are missing. A cast copper alloy seal matrix dating from AD 1250-1400. The face is circular, the handle being divided into six facets, and topped by a pierced, mitre-shaped suspension loop with a collar. The device carried by the seal consists of two figures, one standing, facing right and the other kneeling before it, facing left, probably receiving a blessing.
