Incomplete two piece horse snaffle bit with jointed links. Cast in copper alloy, this harness fitting dates to the 1st century AD. The snaffle is comprised of two joined parts, each with a rein link, joining bar and jointed link. The bit would have been placed in a horses mouth, with the two projecting links being attached to the rein. Both of these links are broken, one is completely missing while half the other survives, with an aproximate diameter of 24mm. Both these breaks are worn, thus probably occured in antiquity. Medieval copper alloy rectangular buckle plate. The plate is recessed for the buckle frame, which is missing. There are two parallel rivet holes in the corners furthest from the buckle frame to attach the plate to a leather belt. One of the rivet holes still containa an iron rivet. The other rivet hole has traces of gilding around the edge. The surface of the plate is decorated in a relief zoomorphic design, however the exact characteristics of the animal are unclear. Post Medieval or modern openwork brooch. Comprised of two copper alloy wires twisted into a figure of eight pattern with overlying curves, possibly representing two intertwined snakes due to engravings on the surface. The brooch is green-grey in colour due to corrosion, and some traces of gilding can still be seen. The brooch is 37mm long and 18mm wide at the widest point.

Both edges have been retouched with sub-parallel removals. This forms a knife edge. The blade was knapped from dark grey flint, and ripples of percussion can be seen along its length.
