Middle Saxon to Late Saxon copper alloy hooked tag with an oval plate, two lobes pierced for attachment and a collar. Read 2008, early medieval single sharp-hooked clasp Class E, Type 1. At the top there is a small projection between the attachment lobes, cf. ibid. no. 119. Much of the front is obscured by rust deposits but surrounded by drilled dots an approximately circular area was probably inlaid with niello and silver wire. Length 29.4mm. Width 14.3mm. 9th century.

Sheet copper alloy end cap of pointed oval cross-section from a post-medieval scale tang knife, containing remains (now loose) of an iron scale tang. The proximal end is engraved with a saltire and both sides with three oblique lines. Very similar to an example from North Lincolnshire (NLM-8CB400). Length 13.9mm, width 16.8mm, thickness 11.2mm. 16th century.
