Post-medieval copper alloy crotal bell with an iron pea, a drilled loop, and, on the lower half, engraved gadroon decoration with three drilled or punched dots flanking the cleft and enclosed within partly circular fields. Diameter 37mm. Height 49.5mm, of which the abnormally long suspension loop accounts for 17mm, though the diameter of the hole is only 3.5mm. 17th century.

Distorted post-medieval white-metal coated copper alloy harness mount, flat and rectangular with a pair of integral rectangular-sectioned attachment spikes on the reverse at the ends. In both long sides there are two semi-circular cut-outs with a pair of edge notches between them. Across both ends there are four oblique grooves next to a transverse groove which ends in edge notches. Similar to SUSS-FD7AA8. One end is engaged with an elongated (and slightly bent) loop of round cross-section, and straight-sided with rounded ends. Cf. Read 2008, no. 825 and LON-5BC980. Distorted post-medieval copper alloy double-looped buckle frame, both loops oval, with a lobe at the ends of the bar and a moulded rosette in the centre of the edges. Both rosettes are so poorly cast as to be almost smooth and featureless (not the result of wear). Part of one side is broken. Rust on the bar suggests an iron pin. The form is comparable with Whitehead 2003, no. 408. An example from Camber Castle was found in a context dated 1543-1637 (Biddle et al. 2001, 260, fig. 7.2 no. 27). Length c.45mm. Width 25mm. c.1550 - c.1650.

Fragment of a copper alloy openwork conical object, probably from the upper part of a medieval censer. The apex, where there would have been some form of suspension, is missing (break probably not old). There are three oval apertures in the sides and the scalloped base is broken across three round perforations (breaks old but with one area of recent damage). Some vertical grooves are scratched rather than decorative. Extant height and diamater 23 and 27.5mm. 12th - 13th century.

Post-medieval composite pin comprising a copper alloy head and inserted shank in a dark pinkish surfaced copper alloy. The head, made from two parts with a clearly visible horizontal seam, sports eleven rounded bosses, two rows of five surmounted by a single one at the top. There is s rounded bend in shank of less than less than 90 degrees. No close parallel has been noted but bosses often decorate early post-medieval pin heads. Length c.66mm. Width of head 11mm. WMID-4275DA) with a central iron-filled rivet hole. Nearer the hook two sets of transverse lines, one incorporating a row of pellets flank a rather worn motif, perhaps a cartouche enclosing a much smaller sunburst. Length 38mm. Tubular domed hollow unidentified copper alloy object incompletely filled with lead alloy. There is a round aperture in the apex and eleven triangular apertures in the sides, a ring of five above a ring of six at the base of which is an encircling rib. At the base five projections are crimped. The openwork is reminiscent of that found on some staff terminals and swivels for leashes. Height or length 18mm. Diameter 17mm. Perhaps late 11th - 12th century.

Almost complete copper-alloy bifurcated handle mount from an Early Saxon stave-built bucket. The beaks of the two bird's head terminals meet the base of the upright. Most of one head is missing, and part of the eye/rivet hole of the other is missing. The handle attachment hole in a rounded terminal at the top is also incomplete.
The central part of the upright is triangular in cross-section with a hollowed reverse, and the lower part consists of a moulded animal head above a transverse rib, with an integral rivet on the reverse. The chunky cast construction is notable. The breaks …
