Fragment of a medieval copper-alloy mount, circular (diameter c.50mm, 0.7mm thick), now bent and broken, less than a third survives. Hollowed on reverse with angled outer flange (depth of object, from face to rear edge of flange, 3.5mm). The face has the remains of engraved decoration comprising three leaves (perhaps originally the base from which a flower sprung) reserved on a field on rocker-arm within a bordering line. This mount was probably originally attached to either portable furniture, such as a casket, or to horse harness. 14th-15th century.

Roman copper alloy 'bell shaped' mount. Circular-sectioned, flaring at the upper edge, and to a leseer degree at the base. Concave upper surface and protruding central boss with dimple. Moulded reel around the waist. Inserted iron shank, corroded with remains protruding from the base. Maximum surviving diameter 15.5mm. Height of copper alloy head 14mm. Similar examples in Crummy (1983, 166, fig:204, no.4650).

Incomplete, worn and corroded medieval gilt copper alloy buckle, comprising an oval frame with exaggeratedly expanded triangular lip with slight lobes flanking the narrowed and straight outside edge, broad shallow groove for pin rest between twin lines of engraved rocker arm (containing remains of gilding and now standing proud of the corroded surface), broken on one side and across stump of offset narrowed bar. Incomplete medieval crescentic strap-end, crescentic back-plate missing. It was held in position by four rivets, two of iron next to the attachment edge, and two of copper alloy. Large broken perforated foliate terminal. The engraved, cross-hatched and drilled decoration is very similar to that on an example from Abingdon (Fingerlin 1971 Abb. 314, Kat. Nr. 239), and to an incomplete piece from Quidenham (HER 37284). Extant length 47.5mm. Width 30.5mm. First half 15th century.

Above this the sides and and top are covered with a continuous spiral of very closely-spaced sub-rectangular/ovoid indentations. Before the start of the spiral there is a stamped counter-relief quatrefoil maker's mark. Diameter c.17.5mm. Height 20mm. Probably a Nuremburg product, c.1520 - c.1650.

The arms may be a variant on those for HAUSTEDE (DBA, Chesshyre and Woodcock 1992, 26). 13th-14th century.

Read 2008, early medieval single sharp-hooked clasp Class A, Type 2. Decoration comprises three incised concentric grooves covering most of the plate around a central perforation, with a line of punched dots between the two inner grooves. Width 14mm. Length 19mm. Weighs 0.53g. 8th - 11th century.
