A copper-alloy hand from a figurine. The first two fingers are extended in the gesture of benediction, suggesting it came from a figure of Christ or a saint. The hand is moulded at the front to indicate the palm, with the fingers outlined by grooves that appear to have been scratched into the metal rather than cast. The tips of the two extended fingers have broken off in antiquity. The back is flat. At the wrist is one groove marking the sleeve and then the metal juts out all around at right angles and has rough edges from an old break. This remnant of the rest of the figurine is wide…

Copper alloy finger ring of uncertain date. The ring is made of wire which is circular in section, 2.7mm in diameter. A short piece of wire has been bent in a circle so the the two ends overlap; both ends have been hammered flat. One end has been hammered into a flat strip, 8.2mm long, 4.7mm wide by 1.4mm thick, the other has just been brought to a wedge shaped end. This type of very simple ring is hard to date, examples are known from the Iron Age onwards. The size and simplicity of this example suggests it may have been made for a child.
