A complete but abraded Late Saxon copper-alloy trapezoidal openwork stirrup-strap mount probably of Williams' (1997, 85-9) Class B, Type 1, group 1. There are two fixing holes in upper angles, both with corroded iron rivets. At the base are two rivet-holes each containing an iron rivet, and there are remains of the iron fitting on the reverse. Little detail survives on the upper two protruding animal heads, the ears and eyes and nose can be seen on the lower protruding head.
