A cut silver denarius of Trajan dating to the period AD 103 to 111 (Reece period 5). COS V PP SPQR OPTIMO PRINC reverse type depicting Pietas standing left by altar holding patera and sceptre. Mint of Rome. RIC II, p. 251, no. 104. This coin has been deliberately cut in two directions. Many of the coins in the same assemblage have been subjecting to cutting or mutilation suggesting that this may be a ritual practice.

A rolled lead-alloy copy of a Roman coin, probably intended to represent a denarius dating to the early third century (Reece period 10 and 11). Both the obverse and reverse are illegible. There are other similar and more legible examples from the same deposit. The rolling of the coin is reminiscent of much larger curse tablets and it is possible that the treatment of the coin is an intentional votive act.

A flat, circular disc of base-silver, possibly intended to represent a coin dating to the Roman period. Both the upper and lower surfaces of the object are plain but have been scored horizontally and vertically with a series of lines. It is possible that this object is votive in nature as it is amongst the objects recovered from the bed of the River Tees.
