A medieval to post-medieval copper-alloy strap end dating to c 1450-1600. The strap end is made in two pieces each with concave edges so that the sides curve round and join to the other plate. The strap end has a long plain top section which gradually narrows towards the end where it curves in to create a waist before flaring out. The lower flared section is then flat at the bottom and in the centre there is a terminal knop in the shape of a trefoil with a central acorn.
