This is a post-medieval copper-alloy trade token farthing of a chandler from Barnet, Hertfordshire (Williamson (Hertfordshire) 28).
One side shows a stick of candles and the words IOHN (John) ROTHERHAM, the reverse has a star * IN.BARNAT 1655 around the outer edge and IR in the centre of the token

A Late Iron Age copper-alloy ?pommel/chape (300BC - AD100). The object is bulbous, with a waisted centre, rising up to two points. The surface is decorated with incised lines rising from the base up to the two points. The waisted section is plain and undecorated. The inside of the object is hollow with a small raised lug centrally positioned. There is an even, dark green patina. Stuart Needham identified similar objects in the Salisbury hoard that are more or less contemporary with the deposition rather than one of the many Bronze Age objects in that hoard. An early medieval copper alloy strap end. The sub rectangular plate that fitted the end to the belt has two rivets one above the other. Below this the strap end narrows abruptly into a simply deliniated animal head. This is in the form of a deeply cut chevron and a moulded triangle. The elongated teardrop shaped terminal could be interpreted as the animal's tongue. Lead token. The reverse is blank, probably as made but possibly through wear. The obverse contains a portucullis design in the centre with an outer ring and letters round the edge. Whilst its clear to see they are letters its impossible due to wear to decipher them.

A worn copper alloy fob seal matrix. The handle of the shield shaped matrix curves into a trefoil finial with a single hole to allow suspension. The division between the finial and the rest of the handle is differentiated by two transverse mouldings. The shield shaped face of the matrix is divided by a line. Above this inscribed the letters RPI. Below this the main motif consists of a large initial I, curled into horns top & bottom. There are dots and six pointed stars in the surrounding field. The pitted condition of the surface of the matrix has made acurate description difficult

A fragment of a Late Bronze Age cast copper alloy socketed axehead (1150 BC - 800 BC). This fragment is the mid section of the blade of the socketed axe. The sides flare outwards slightly (as viewed in plan) towards where the the cutting edge was before the damage removed it. At the break in the open end the socket is rectangular with rounded corners (as viewed from above) The fragment is corroded and in poor condition, although a little of the mid to dark green patina has survived.
