A corroded fragment of a Medieval copper-alloy buckle plate. Only the top plate remains, which is rectangular and there is an irregular transverse break across the pin slot and the frame recesses. The front of the plate outer edge appears to have been decorated with equally spaced fine dots, flanked by parallel lines. The remaining hinge loops appear to have been decorated with parallel ridged lines. Due to corrosion, the decoration evidenced by the presence of an off-white concretion. A post Medieval copper alloy vessel repair clip. Made from an approximately rhomboid strip of copper alloy sheet of thickness 0.6mm, neatly folded inwards and then outwards again from both sides. Other examples tend to terminate in points, but in this example the points have either broken off or it has been deliberately fashioned in this way. There are patches of light and dark green patina and also patches of a white concretion on the surface. Suggested date: Early Medieval to post medieval, 1066-1800. Length: 19.6mm. Width: 14.7mm, Thickness: 3.0mm. Weight: 2.29g.

A fragment of shale bracelet, probably dating from the Roman period. It is curved in profile and the surviving piece is about a one sixth of the original object. The outer face comprises two smooth flat surfaces which rise gently to form a ridge around the centre where they meet. It also bears an upper and lower marginal groove. The inner face is plain, slightly convex and exhibits fine longitudinal ridges, probably from the time of manufacture.
