An in complete Medieval (AD1400-1500) cast lead alloy button. It is discoidal, flattened dome, with decoration in moulded relief of a saltire with apellet in each quadrant. The shank is missing from the flat under side. Measurements: diameter: 14.65mm, thickness: 6.65mm, weight: 9.89g Similar are illustrated by Read (2005, p.18, fig. 51)

A complete post Medieval (16th century) cast one-piece lead alloy button. The head is discoidal, with aconvex front and flat back. The decoration consists of a central pellet with three arm radiating out; one arm lies from a pellet at twelve o'clock to the pellet at six o'clock, the third shorter arm is from the central pellet to between nine and ten o'clock. A complete late Medieval (c. 15th century)copper-alloy decorated, button or toggle with an integral drilled shank. Description: It has a sub-rectangular head in plan with straight long sides and rounded ends and is 'D'-shaped in cross-section with a decorated upper face. The worn decoration may have been of an elaborate foliate quatrefoil. The rear face is flat. An incomplete copper-alloy book clasp of later medieval to early post-medieval date, (c.AD1450-1700). Description:The clasp is flat and roughly rectangular narrowing from a wide flared attachment end with 6 points toward the hook end. The object is bent slightly across its length like from post depositional damage. At the hook end of the object there is a pair of rectangular lugs immediately behind the blunt concave hook. An incomplete post-medieval (c.AD 1500 - 1700) copper alloy saddle pommel. Description: This remaining half of the pommel is convex and semi-circular in cross-section, any attachments are missing from the historic break. The surface design is linear with four doubled lines travelling from the centre of the dome to the rim. There is another doubled line across the break edge on the longer side and another across the perimeter. There is no decoration on the inner side of the object.
